Jett is and has always been a protector. ❤️ Today he leveled up from his BB gun and went shooting with his Dad & Grandpa! I’m thankful he is learning gun safety & how to protect himself & others in this crazy world.

Jett decided he didn’t want to celebrate Hallowe

Jett decided he didn’t want to celebrate Halloween this year and I’ve been feeling that way more and more the last few years, but his school has a theme dress up day once a month and today is 70s Day! “Disco Christmas” merch is hard to find in stores but we busted out the sewing machine and made it happen! I love this kid! Tonight we’re hanging at home baking cookies, drinking hot chocolate, watching Christmas movies & handing out candy canes if anyone comes by.

We went to @irvineparkrailroad yesterday with Jett’s learning center. Here is what I love about #homeschool field trips:

1. We have a lot of them! Once a month we go somewhere awesome.
2. The whole family comes along. They’re usually on Fridays and some ppl have to work, but many families are able to have the whole family (even grandparents!🎉) there for the fun. It’s so great to have a big group of families hanging out together, making memories.
3. The kids are all ages! It’s kids in strollers to college aged siblings all hanging out together. The community is amazing. I love watching the older kids caring for and teaching the younger kids. The idea that homeschool kids aren’t socialized is a thing of the past. I’d argue they are the most socialized, as they are leaning to interact with all ages, abilities and personalities. 🤗

Jett wanted to try painting some shoes recently and once I got his, I couldn’t resist making my own… we had so much fun painting them together! I wasn’t going to buy AF1s- especially for our first stab at it, but I found these sweet knockoffs that did the trick 😁 We love our custom shoes but more than that, loved getting to make them together. 🤍🎨💦👟🤗🎉 #punky4life

First Day of school for Jett! 🎉 I’m so thankful for the extra time we got together starting later but now we are ready! He’s going into his 5th grade year but in a 6th grade class and I just realized he changed the letter board to say First day of 6th 😂 I’m so thankful for the amazing teachers & families at his learning center - can’t wait to see him shine this year! #homeschool #learningcenter

When I went backpacking across Catalina with the girls last year, we found this amazing camp spot on the side of the island I had never been to before and I knew I had to go back with my boys, so last week we made it happen. We relaxed, hiked, played in the ocean, played cards on the beach, drank Buffalo Milk and other fun things, taught Jett how to play poker, had great chats, made bonfires, slept beside the ocean, laughed a lot and made some happy memories! 🤗 It was a perfect way to end the summer- and I can’t wait to go back! ⛴❤️☀️🏝⛱🃏🏈🍹🥾

Thanks so much everyone for all the sweet birthday messages yesterday! I had the best day celebrating with my boy 🥳 We joined Uncle Jonny in the mustache club, built Lego on Pixar Pier, climbed ropes, went down slides, drew in the animation studio, went on some rides, ate, danced, laughed, and had a great time. Sweet Jett went on a secret mission and was so excited to give me his gift he bought himself. He got me two Starbucks cups I’ve been in love with for a year but would never have bought for myself. ❤️🥹 He also got me my @melin hat so we could match! Spending time with this sweet boy was the best gift and I am one thankful mama! Fox had to work but we’ve got more fun in the works this weekend ❤️🎉 I am blessed and thankful for another year of this beautiful life and all the beautiful people in it!

For the past couple of weeks, I've had about a doz

For the past couple of weeks, I've had about a dozen kids at my house all day doing arts and crafts, jumping on the trampoline, playing in sprinklers, eating popsicles- and it's been amazing! I never get pics of all the things because it's so busy but here are some of the fun creations kids have made. We've got our last week of art camps coming up next week and they're going to be two of the most fun!

One camp is Sublimation Station and it's M-F from 9-noon. Kids will create art and use it to make custom keychains, coasters, cups, tees and hats! The second camp is "Crafts with Gom" from 1-4 and will prob be the best! My mom, Jett's grandma- the craftiest person ever- will help lead a new craft each day. I can't wait to see all the fun things everyone makes! If kids do both camps, they just stay for lunch from noon-1 so we have them from 9-4.

Happy Father’s Day to our very own DaddyFox!! We are so blessed. This man is a strong, disciplined protector and provider who works so hard to take care of us and loves us well. We know we are safe and loved when we are with him and that’s an amazing way to live. He is one of the most generous people I’ve ever met- he never turns away when he sees someone in need. He hasn’t gotten comfortable or complacent, he still keeps learning and growing and stretching himself, and God is blessing him (and us) as he leads our family. Look who’s finally riding shotgun 🥳 My plan was to keep him in the backseat, wrapped in bubble wrap and wearing a helmet until he was at least 20 but he did his research and showed me he was 2” and 20 pounds beyond the height and weight minimums so I guess I have to let that dream go. After I stopped crying I realized it’s pretty fun to have a buddy up front with me 😊🎉 I just hope I’m not too distracted by that mullet flowing in the breeze!

Last month I started hosting a monthly craft night

Last month I started hosting a monthly craft night for the grown-up girls called She’s Crafty (shoutout to the Beasties!) and it was super fun! This month we’ll be making a custom stack like this one, only you’ll pick what you want it to say and what you want it to look like! My friend @esladek will help us make oil diffuser beaded bracelets and then I’ll help you make your custom cuff. Swipe through to see some of the style options you’ll have to pick from. Four weeks into the season and the boys finally got to play their second game 😅💚⚾️🦆Ducks got the W with a 12-3 victory! 🎉 Jett went 2 for 3 and scored both times he got on base. Yay Jett & way to go Ducks!

This amazing print was gifted to me by my mama and I love it so much. A couple years ago the Lord convicted my heart and showed me that I really loved thinking of Him as the precious Lamb- which He is, but was less comfortable seeing him as the powerful Lion of Judah- which He also is. He’s been showing Himself to me as a lion for the last few years, which she didn’t know when she bought me this print! It makes me cry. God is so good- He is so powerful but tempers that power towards us because He loves us. 🤍

I love the part in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe when Mr. Beaver is telling Lucy and Susan about Aslan….
